Adopt-A-Family of the Palm Beaches, Inc. invites the community to be a part of a new and "Quacky" fund-raiser that will help provide services for homeless families here in Palm Beach County.

The 1st Annual Ducky Derby will take place in Downtown Lake Worth on St. Patrick’s Day – March 17.  For $5, anyone can “Adopt-A-Duck" and have the chance to win the $5,000 Grand Prize and other fabulous prizes too!  5,000 rubber ducks are available for “adoption.”  All money raised will help Adopt-A-Family continue to provide programs and services for homeless families and families in crisis.

On St. Patrick’s Day the rubber ducks will "swim" in a special duck pond staged near Dave's Last Resort, a popular establishment in downtown Lake Worth.  Around 3 p.m., Greg Rice will emcee the ceremony where the winning ducks will be randomly “plucked” from the pond.

Ducks can be “adopted” by going online to www.duckrace.com/aaf-lakeworth  Restaurants and businesses in downtown Lake Worth also have ducks available.
